Potipot Island, Zambales Philippines

This is our 2nd day of “Beacheneering” last weekend, destination Potipot Island. The Island is nearly located at Uacon, Candelaria Zambales. This small Island is surrounded by fine white sands with amazingly clear waters. I can say that it is the 4th best beach that I’ve been in the Philippines. Aside from it’s paradise like beauty, it is conveniently only 4 hours away from Manila and above that, you only need to travel 5 minutes boat ride coming from the mainland. We chose the resort Beach haus ni Doc which was recommended by my brother-in-law.

Kids at play

For the recent months I’ve been in hiatus of posting photos on the web. I’ve been busy with all-things-life. Or an excuse that I’m about to bite the so called “Photo Blues”. Haven’t had any self satisfying photos lately. I meant a different one that I haven’t done before.

Last friday my wife and my sister-in-law had this sudden thought of “beacheneering” (thanks to my client who introduced me to this word ) They chose Iba Zambales.

I’ve been to this place almost 2 years ago . I was very satisfied on what i’ve taken back to that day (see here). Last Saturday was a bit different, the skim borders wasn’t there and only a number young kids who jumps over the water are there blissfully enjoying their childhood giving their every strength to jump and tumble over that body of water .

Here’s something different, a little related to the style I’ve created 2 years ago but this is far more dynamic and have some active strong emotions of the “Kids at play”.

PiPho Org 4th Anniversary Exhibit “Right Time, Right Place.”

Our Club, PiPho Org, will be having another group exhibit this June 26, the exact date when I put up the website www.pinoyphotography.org . The exhibit was led by Dave Deluria current president of the Org, a good friend of mine. The photos are printed on canvass by Gallery 7 who we’ve partnered with together with Eastwood Mall .

We picked the photos that were voted by all the members of the Org, it came to my surprise that my favorite “Luna” photo was voted as 2nd. The 1st, 2nd to 3rd photos will be printed on 26in x 40in rough canvass. I’m pretty excited on how it will look with that textured media. My “Luna” photo is an edition piece this will be the 3rd edition to sell. I’m excited for all us.

Opening ceremonies will start June 26 at 7:00pm. See you there!

Landscape Photography is the art of expressing the beauty of the natural world in a way that may or may not be conventional. In the eyes of a photographer the light as it illuminates or de-illuminates provides a wealth of means to both appreciate and express our creativity.

These are a collection of our best work from our best men and women over the years. It represents the beauty of our lands and what makes the Philippines one of the best places to be as a Photographer.

Manual Video Controls on the Canon 5D Mark II… Coming soon!

Well well well! I saw it coming! And Canon is treating its loyal customers by giving the most demanding feature of video capable 5d mark II, MANUAL CONTROLS.

I know how frustrating the auto-exposure of the video is. I was commisioned filming a music video few months ago and it was very hard to always AEL and do the nasty hand block tricks!

But by 1st week of June 2009 Canon will be releasing a new firmware that ends all this misery!

Kudos to Canon!

Time to reconsider those video rig again!!!
