Posted by tekgik under News, Tech, Tips & Tricks, apple, kaBlog
Apple just released an update of their Camera Raw Compatibility for some of the previously released digital cameras. The Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 2.4 now supports the EOS 5D Mark II, the powershot G10 and many others. The only one left for me is my Panasonic Lumix LX3. The RAW files of the said camera can now be natively viewable in Finder and iPhoto.
Update: No finder compatibility

Although I have updated my Mac with latest Raw Compatible file version 2.4, it doesn’t work properly for Raw file taken by Canon 5D Mark 2. Let’s wait for version 2.5++
Too bad.

Hi Angus, ooops yes sorry about this. Yeah I realize this too when i was arhciving my files via finder. The 2.4 update doesnt work with finder and preview. The update is for iPhoto and Aperture only. I updated my post entry thanks for reminding me.
When can we expect a fix to this problem?
Why can’t we see our Raws in Finder?
