A PiPho update

Ok Yahoo Domains just emailed me.

Hello Regie,

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Domains.

I understand that you wish to get the following nameservers registered
for your domain name “pinoyphotography.org”. Thank you for providing the
records to be registered.

ns1.pinoyphotography.org  -  6*********

Regie, please note that your requested nameservers have been registered.

Yahoo! processes the nameserver registration through our partner company
Melbourne IT. It can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours for the
Nameservers to propagate on the World Wide Web.

I believe this solution should resolve your issue, for further
assistance, please call us at 1-866-800-8092.

Please do not hesitate to reply if you need further assistance.

Regards,

Miles

Hopefully it propagates soon AGAIN.

I just bought today two pre-owned fast lenses that will be included on my arsenal. This is the Canon EF 85mm f1.8 & Canon EF 50mm f1.4 these are consumer lenses but high quality optics from Canon. It was an instant buying i made today after someone posted it at phphoto while waiting for my hosting supports email re: PiPho. The seller was right it is in pristine condition. A perfect lenses for my studio.

Will make sample shots with these lenses. 😉

PiPho still down.. official statement from me

www.pinoyphotography.org is still down after i put it offline last 9:00am Aug. 25, 2007. The transfer started late in the afternoon of Saturday because of the slow response of the new hosting (not enough manpower on weekends they say) anyway I waited long hours so officially sunday morning they transferred all the files and all DB’s I requested them to do transfer because a 240mb DB is no a joke to handle together with the 100mb + forum files. So early morning Monday its online I was able to post some, but around 9:00am it went down and off again at first i thought it was only that the DNS  is still propagating but it seemed that there was something wrong with the domain settings that my hosting gave me. And right now i contacted yahoo domains to enable me to make new private name servers but the  yahoo domain said they reply an average of 24 hours. Oh yes this is not easy, PiPho is my everyday online life together with all who awaits its rebirth.

For the PiPhoLs who reads this pls be patient and it will be back soon. I apologize for any inconveniences I know that its part of your daily routine to visit and post at PiPho. Dont worry all posts are intact.

Thanks

Sincerely,

Regie “tekgik” Fernando

Studio… my…

My studio is nearing its completion, a 54 sqm. ground floor in a building near Ortigas Center, I don’t want to reveal the exact address first but i promise I will ;)Theres a lot to process before I can operate of course the mandatory business permits & licenses. Yesterday, I was applying for reconnection of electricity & phone line with broadband. It is somewhat a wasted day yesterday. Globe doesn’t have any available lines in the area, then I proceeded to PLDT Pasig and told me that I should apply on their SM megamall branch. After struggling in applying my landlines I then visited Meralco and to my surprise they need, previous billing of previous tenant, title, and business permits. It is a wasted energy and time, again the pain of falling in line, traffic, hassles are part of it. Im really excited with it! In fact Im now imagining the possible concepts I can shoot in it.
