New memory cards

I asked my Uncle photo buddy Larry to buy me Sandisk Ultra III CF cards becaus im worrying much of my Ridata because of reported mishaps until now haven’t experience any corrupted card or lemon. I asked him buy me two and plan to replace all my 10gid ridata with Sandisk’s.

I love the packaging and it came with recovery software and soft cloth wallet.

New printer

 I bought a new printer today to replace my Epson Stylus Photo 1160 a3+ printer. I served me well, but lately I’ve been wanting a photo printer that can print more resolution, quickier and not to mention longer print life. I got the Canon Pixma iP4300 a 9600×2400dpi photo printer with 5 ink tank sytem including the famous PGI-5 BK ink of laser text quality. I played around this evening with different type of medias,  i started with Veco & Orange these are the cheap ones that can be bought at National bookstore. The Veco Photo Glossy is simply astounding! My old epson didn’t printed as near as this but in fairness my Epson is a 5 year older model so i won’t compare much about that. As the days goes by Il test it to original medias of Canon and would love to try the Cd/DVD labell printing. Don’t worry I’l update you on this. BTW why you can resist of buying one its only P6,750 at 12months 0% interest at Canon D-zone stores! I also bought a pack of cartridge and paper for my Selphy.!

The 1Ds is long gone, after my trip last week at Taal Volcano & the Subic Bay Triathlon the ”Beast” is with  its original boss CMPI ;)

I’ll be making an article about it; “The Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II Adventure” im still finishing it and hopefully it will be up this week.

Well yes I already got the loan unit of Canon EOS 1Ds MKII, the reigning full frame top of the line camera from Canon it comes with the 16.7 million effective pixels… What more can you ask for? Il be having a hands on preview of this beast! We may call it a “post-launch review” maybe the title works, well anyway I took advantage of it since Il be waiting for the new Canon EOS 1D MKIII so i can make comparison together with all Canon’s DSLR lineup.

First love never dies? Ahhh let us see! Im going to stroll this baby this weekend to one of the famous travel spot here in the Philippines… Watch out for it!

I’ve been loaning Canon a review unit of the new 1D MKIII but it is still out, what they are lending me is the still TOTL EOS Canon 1Ds MKII. Well thats really ok since i dont have first hand experience of this unit. And it will help me do comparison together with the 1DmKII & MKIII. Lets see.. il give you updates on it.

Caylabne at Ternate Cavite is a great place to unwind! The surprising cliff view at the gate will welcome you with full awe of gratification of nature. I just wish that they maintain the facilities more better then add some. I didn’t have an idea that you can see Corregidor Island north west  side of the bay. My son enjoyed swimming on the china sea but regretably he has fever now. The whole family enjoyed it together with my in-laws!

Aliwan Fiesta 2007

The Aliwan Fiesta is over! I nearly dehydrated from that event, I was with my uncle buddy Larry and the rest of the PiPho guys. Of course I enjoyed the event but had to go early for Caylabne trip early morning sunday. My bet again is Cebu Sinulog contingent i don’t know the results but what im sure the winner will get away with P1,000,000 1M pesosesoses.. lotsa money for the whole tribe! I noticed that last year celebration had more expectators and participants though. I also wish that the Aliwan organizers consider a photo contest. Speaking of Aliwan photo contest Anton & I partnered for a photo contest all major cash prizes are from photo.net.ph so far the results were ok.
