Canon EOS 400D Review

Introduction
Canon announced the EOS 400D last August 2006, making it their 3rd generation entry level DSLR. The 400D boast a 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor with DIGIC II imaging processor. It has three significant new features from its predecessors which are 2.5” LCD, ICS (Integrated Cleaning System) and Picture Styles. The EOS 400D is also known as Rebel XTi.
Canon asked me for deep insights about the 400D that was used yesterday on its launching. I’ve shot foliage & trees at UP Diliman, took some sunset from our rooftop and still life in my studio. I’ve gone more further and reviewed it for www.PinoyPhotography.Org (PiPho) which you are reading now. This review was based from my field testing and personal overview of this camera, its actually a simple review with comparison and thorough observation how the 400D handled my needs. Just like many may ask; Is the 400D a logical upgrade from the 350D? In my review Il discuss things which I think will minimize your decision making dilemma.

400D…goodbye

I returned the 400D demo unit to Canon this afternoon. I had a great time playing with that camera.  I’ve shot some interesting images with it. The images will be exhibited to the 400D launch in Sept 19 at Rockwell together with the AVP we’ve done yesterday. I like the 400D but im still looking for the full frameness 5D!

Theres the Amazing ICS (Integrated Cleaning System) I will discuss this more on my review just watch out for it.

I was in Pier 18 today for an ad shoot of livestock. Ohhh dont mention the smell ewww anyway it was rather interesting because i got the chance to be adventurous, i climbed some steel stairs to get a nice vantage point.

Macabebe, Pampanga

Its my fellow photogs fiesta at Macabebe yesterday. The long trip and traffic was all worth it, the food was great and the “PiPho Band” entertained us ROTFLMAO! :D I didnt know that there are talented PiPhoLs in the field of music. The music they played with matching comedy acts made my day  Yo Jeric yo da man!

New Apple iMac’s

Im macless right now, I sold my powerbook g4 two weeks ago. Im thinking for an upgrade maybe macbook or mac book pro. But lo and behold apple releases new iMac’s with new core 2 duo processors. 24″ incher screen the largest iMac screen ever. It is also worth mentioning that the entry level is only $999 which is roughly P50,000. And now here is my dilemma mobile or desktop? Sometimes i need a laptop to work on location shoot and of course presentation to clients. But who could resist to the beauty of this all-in-one mac. Bahala na si superman!
