I conquered Mt. Pinatubo

Posted by tekgik under Travel

Its a very tiring day last sunday, the trek to Pinatubo’s crater was 40 minutes away and I must say its all worth it. One hour through the rough terrains of the mountains and marshlands. But along the way you’ll see gorgeous landscapes left and right, we just stop for just a few minutes to make a snap of people and sceneries we can’t stay too long because of the itinerary.
There are lots of landscapes that i didnt have the chance to capture well now that i know how to get there, I’d probably be going back one of these days.
I would like to congratulate my friends Team PiPho Pinatubo Expedition Organizers for a job well done, Thank you!

Look at the maginificent crater, I myself did say WOW and my eyes poped out, all my trek exhaustion were vanished. We stayed there for a couple of hours. Some did swim on that beautiful green water.

You can wander around the crater with boats but unfortunately these are ONLY for the Koreans tsk tsk tsk, (pano kaming mga Pinoy? di ba lupa natin ito?) extremely ironic!

The Pinatubo aetas

Stone pickers, this is one of the primary living in San Juan, they are earning Php3 per sack.

I showed the aetas some photos from the marshlands. They are very friendly and willing to smile at you anytime. I promised them that il be bringing prints when i get back.

Lastly our “group hug” PiPho at the crater.

It was a very very fun trip!

Who would forget Mt. Pinatubo that erupted in the 90’s? Well just a few hours later we will trek the sights around it and the crater. This will be another photo expedition of Pinoy Photography Organization. We will be around 50 persons who are shutter loving people. :D I bought a new extra battery for my camera and another extra 1gb compact flash card its a good thing too that my backup camera is already repaired. Oh yes im really excited to conquer this mountain. Lets hope for good weather. :)

Aerial Photography

Posted by tekgik under Travel, kaBlog

I was there up in the sky today, with top advertising photographer John Chua of AdPhoto, he invited me to join his photo shoot. Damn! Im such a lucky *astard! :D The first time i saw the invite, something crossed my mind (a negative thought) what if accident occurs specially that the date today is 6-6-6 creepy :D well one thing i can say is (kung oras mo na, oras mo na) My plan for the morning was all moved in the afternoon.

The scenes above reminds me of my architecture days were in if you are required of large planning (urban planning) you need to show the rendered drawing in aerial perspective.
Its so fantastic how you will see landscapes & structures up above!

Sir John Thank you very much! (sa uulitin)

Family Portrait

I had a photo session with my good friends Raymart & Claudine Santiago with their lovely daughter Sabina. I was surprised that Sam (Sabina) was very accustomed in front of the camera (well san pa ba magmamana) :D . Its just so good that they also like a little different from the traditional posed shots. It was fun shooting the fun & giggles of this lovely family.

Wawa Dam, province of Rizal

Posted by tekgik under Travel

My PiPho friends and I had a Photo Op Road trip today, we went to Wawa Dam, Rodriguez (Formerly Montalban) Rizal. It was a nice place, full of photo opportunity; the landscape, still life & human interest.

This is one of my last shot, my comrades didnt bother going down with me because they are tired! All I can say is my solo trip down is worth it :D
